Located in an excellent area of Lake Fork, just a mile from the west fork bridge on Hwy 515, Jordan House is one of the most accommodating vacation/fishing rentals on the Lake. It sets between two of the newest and most highly regarded golf courses on the lake, and whether you are after bass, crappie, catfish, or sunfish, the west arm of the lake is hard to beat. Within two miles of Jordan House, there are excellent restaurants, featuring steak, seafood, pizza or Italian, and big, fat juicy hamburgers. It's only about 5 miles to great Mexican food dining.

Jordan House is big and roomy. Downstairs is an oversized den, two bedrooms, the kitchen, laundry room and bath. Upstairs is a large bedroom with three twin beds. The back patio comes equipped with a Hot Springs hot tub and a nice grill.

About a mile from Jordan House is an oversized, fully lit free public boat ramp with paved parking. Speaking of boats, if you want to rent one, Ricky's Lake Fork Boat Rental is only a block from Jordan House. If you own your own boat and have trolling motor problems, a well-furnished trolling motor repair show is just up the block at the 515 Trolling Motor Repair Shop.

Area shopping is not a problem. At Emory (8 miles west) there is a giant Brookshires grocery store (with pharmacy), Family Dollar and Dollar General stores, and a newly opened Alco store. Also, there are several eating establishments in Emory.

In Quitman (12 miles southeast) there are several small shops as well as the mandatory Brookshires, Family Dollar, and Dollar General. Also Quitman has two pharmacies and a hospital. Quitman is the county seat of Wood County.


Sulphur Springs (18 miles north) and Mineola (17 miles south) are both larger towns with ample shopping and dining. Both cities have super Walmart stores.

  • 50% deposit required at time of booking. Cancellations made at least 30 days in advance of the arrival date will be refunded in full less a $15.00 administrative charge. Cancellations made within a 30 day window of check-in will be refunded only to the extent that those days are rebooked.

Jordan House is smoke free, although you are welcome to smoke on the patio and outdoors, but please be mindful of the fire hazard in this wooded setting.
